Central Park came alive on 1st November as the Dartford Lions Club once again hosted its much-loved Bonfire Night and Fireworks Display — an evening that united thousands of local residents for a sparkling celebration of community spirit, family fun, and dazzling fireworks – ALL in the name of charity!
A Night to Remember
From the moment gates opened at 5 pm, families and friends streamed into Central Park, Dartford, eager to enjoy one of the town’s most anticipated annual events. The bonfire was lit at 7:15 pm, casting a warm glow across the park, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display at 8.15 pm that illuminated the night sky in a symphony of colour and sound.
The Lions Club’s careful planning and community coordination ensured everything ran smoothly — from crowd management and accessibility to safety and timing. For many attendees, the night marked a perfect blend of tradition and excitement, capturing the true spirit of Bonfire Night in Dartford. With the music and PA being provided by Dartford’s very own entertainer known as Traviss, this in conjunction with the famous funfair, rides and food stalls made the event perfect for all age groups.
Community Praise and Positive Feedback
Social media was ablaze with praise following the event. Local residents flooded the Dartford Lions Club Facebook page with comments, photos, and heartfelt thanks.
One visitor wrote:
“Big thanks to Dartford Lions for another great event this year! We had a lovely time!”
Another attendee added:
“Fantastic fireworks and such a great atmosphere — thank you to everyone involved.”
Dozens of local photographers shared stunning long-exposure shots of the fireworks, highlighting both the beauty of the display and the community pride that powered it. These shared moments helped amplify the event’s reach far beyond Central Park, showcasing Dartford as a town that truly comes together.

A Community Effort That Makes a Difference
What makes this event truly special is that it’s run entirely by volunteers from the Dartford Lions Club, a local charity that has supported the community for over 50+ years. Every penny raised from the Bonfire Night and Fireworks Display goes directly to helping those in need — with the majority of funds supporting local individuals, families, and community projects in and around Dartford.
This year’s event was also made possible thanks to the generous support of local businesses, sponsors, and partners, whose contributions and cooperation help ensure the evening remains a safe, affordable, and memorable tradition for everyone.
The Dartford Lions Club extends heartfelt thanks to all attendees, volunteers, and supporters who helped make Bonfire Night 2025 such a resounding success — a shining example of what can be achieved when the community comes together.
