Under the leadership of Lion Avtar Sandhu MBE, we held our club’s first ever Supporters Social Event. Hosted at the Hill Hub, on West Hill Dartford, this event was designed to allow our members the opportunity to hear directly from those organisations which we have supported.

We were also very pleased to welcome one of our many business supporters, Lloyds Bank Dartford. Each of the organisations whom attended, were given 5 minutes in which to tell us (the club) about their groups and more importantly how our support is making a difference to our local residents. 

We were very pleased to hear from We Are Beams, A Healthy Cookery Group and  Gold, Silver & Bronze Medal winner Bonnielou.

For Dartford Lions Club, this is ‘The Way Forward’, we plan to continue our interaction with our supporters and the groups who we support. Our club aims to help as many individuals /groups as possible and we continue to reply upon the support of our local residents and of course the local business community.

Following the buffet, Lion President Avtar said “This is something we should have done a long time ago, its the ideal opportunity for some of our members to meet the very people who we support. In meetings its very easy to discuss worthy causes, but hearing from them first hand is brilliant. Dartford Lions Club is only as good as our supporters, something for which I am sincerely grateful.”
