A support group for anyone with any life affecting condition
The Well Being Link, usually run weekly support groups in Dartford and Northfleet. The purpose is to create a pleasant social atmosphere over a cuppa whilst providing complementary therapies, interesting speakers, and help and advice on many relevent matters such as nutrition and exercise.
The group have legal and financial advisers and can assist with form filling for various benefits. They have had to close the groups since lockdown which has upset a great many people.
During Lockdown their amazing volunteers have been keeping in contact with our members over the phone, going
shopping for some of them and generally raising morale. Last summer we delivered goodies for afternoon teas and at
Christmas provided Christmas goody bags. The members were so happy to see the masked volunteers and everyone
just could not wait to get back and see all their old friends again. The Dartford group is reopening on 16 th April and
hopefully Northfleet will follow soon after.
The group have always prided themselves on our fund-raising activities such as the monthly Pamper Nights at Dartford Football Club, Murder Mysteries and Quiz nights, all of which disappeared because of Covid. Currently they are organising some on-line events which can be found on our website www.wellbeinglink.org.uk If you would like to join us at one of our events or help raise contributions through one of our challenges you will be very very welcome. Just give Sue a call on 07956 308 493.
As a completely volunteer-run organisation we are always on the lookout for caring volunteers to help in a variety of
roles. Would you be interested? Training is provided and you will be welcomed to our friendly, supportive team.
The group wish to thank Dartford Lions for their support since we started in 2014 which has always been much appreciated.
Lion president Ragbhir Sandhu said ” Groups like these are the backbone of our community, the support they offer is vital in maintaining a good community. Our club, is always very pleased to support the Well Being Link”.
